Rohan Persad is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Toronto, ON who attends Harbord Collegiate Institute. A lean frame with a slender build with length throughout. Plenty of room to fill out the taller frame moving forward. Projection remains. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who worked out at the position with quicker feet working to it. He showed good whip to the arm working across the diamond, showing throws at 86 mph across the diamond during his round. Longer arm action with good accuracy across. He moved well with some athleticism and clue for the actions. Projectable actions on the dirt were shown during his round. A right-handed hitter with an open base, upright stance, high hands, and the back elbow up. He showed good bat speed with some impact showing. It was an aggressive leg lift working into it, with a good forward move into contact. He had the bat speed and barrel speed to impact it, working back up the middle well during his round. He showed an inside path, getting the barrel on it well. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch during his outing. He showed a leg lift to the waist with some coil to it. He lands on-line, working down the slope with an athletic delivery and good operation top-to-bottom. He had a medium arm action working through the release with a loose and fluid arm action. The fastball worked 78-81 mph with some sinker traits to it. He also flashed a curveball in the upper-60s with some depth and bite to it. Put together a good outing with traits to work with moving forward. Excellent student. Named to Michigan Indoor TP List.
