2023 Fall East Coast Workout Showcase (Friday)
Daniel Vergara is a 2027 3B/RHP, SS with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Hamilton, NJ who attends Hamilton West-Watson. Lean, lanky frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.81 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Uses segmented actions into and through the fielding process with a deep funnel and a quicker release. Showed some range to either side and stays on-top of his throws. Delivered accurate throws up to 69 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, bent-knee stance with an exaggerated high hand set and leg lift trigger for timing. Contact oriented stroke with sound bat-to-ball skills and some occasional line drive impact through the middle-of-the field, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Developing young prospect with plenty of time to add strength and refine overall skill set.
