Mathieu Fisher is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Notre-Dame De L'Île Perrôt, QC who attends Ecole Secondaire Chene-Bleu. Large, broad-shouldered frame with well-proportioned strength present throughout. Primary left-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch. Hands stay around the chest throughout as he lifts the leg just below the letters. Shorter takeaway through the back-side prior to releasing the ball from a three-quarters slot. Pushes off the middle of the rubber and attempts to carry momentum downhill. Fastball showed arm-side run with some heaviness, ultimately peaking at 80 mph. Slider displayed some late tilt and side spinning action. Has the ability to manipulate the shape and land it for strikes. Showcased good command of his two-pitch offering. Secondary first baseman, takes a clean prep step and works through the baseball with proper footwork. Funnels it smoothly with present softness in the hands. Releases the ball from a lower slot. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond while recording arm strength up to 76 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts in a very narrow, slightly open stance with high back elbow and tight, high hand set-up. Utilizes an inward hover trigger for timing before working into a flatter bat path. Creates good strength at impact to the pull-side when timed up. Gets rotational and slashy at times. Posted an exit velocity of 91 mph. Ran a 3.91 thirty-yard dash. Good student.
