Luke Torres is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Falls Church, VA who attends Marshall. Recorded a 7.07 second sixty yard dash time. Medium build with a lean frame. Primary shortstop with quick feet and good athleticism. Secondary outfielder that has a quick arm for the size with a one-hand gather and a compact arm action. Good arm with easy arm strength. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works exclusively from the stretch with a waist-level leg lift and lands on-line. Pretty quick shoulder with a clean and on-line, medium length arm action and a high three- quarter arm slot. The fastball (2022 RPM) was upper 70s and topped at 78 with lots of arm-side run. Tight spin on the upper 60s slider (1989 RPM) with two-plane break. Missed bats with the fastball during his appearance and was an athletic mover on the mound. The right-handed hitter starts from a wide base and square feet, utilizes a small leg lift trigger. Short swing that leverages the barrel well with some lift to the pull-side. Quick bat. Exciting player with good upside.
