Benjamin Monteiro is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-3 130 lb. frame from Brockton, MA who attends Milton High School. Recorded a 5.32 40-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a medium build. Stays low to the ground in the infield and worked methodically. Uses a long arm action and showed solid glovework. Right-handed hitter and starts from a wide base with open feet. Has length to the swing path and bat stays on a level path through the zone. Swings it hard and produced some liners to left centerfield. Secondary right-handed pitcher and pitches exclusively from the stretch. Begins delivery with a medium leg lift and lands on line at foot strike. Medium length arm action and releases from a 3/4 slot. Some arm side run to the fastball and topped at 72 mph. Attacked the zone and flashed a breaking ball as well. Great student.
