Wilmer Marenco Jr. is a 2028 2B/OF with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Wilmington, NC who attends Home School. Young frame with a lean build. 8.32 runner in the sixty-yard dash. Right-handed hitter, wide base with high hands and back elbow set, keep the hands inside the baseball, impacted to the opposite field consistently. Young bat speed and feel for the barrel, gets the barrel out front occasionally with ability to hit the ball to the middle of the field. Primary second baseman, has solid actions for the age, works through grounders with a deep two hand funnel, showed ability to make all the plays necessary, developing arm strength across. Was accurate around the bag on throws recorded up to 65 mph. Secondary outfielder, fundamentally sound actions getting to the ball, gets the glove down early and works through with one hand, compact arm action to an over-the-top slot. Same arm strength shown on infield workout, recorded throws up to 63 mph.
