2025 PG New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Marcus Dylan Sama is a 2028 LHP/1B with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from North White Plains, NY who attends Valhalla. Lean young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. Works exclusively from the stretch from the third base side of the rubber, has a compact arm action with a low 3/4's to side arm release point, short stride out front. Fastball was in the low 70's with gradual running life, pitched to the arm side for the most part. Also threw a short slider that was more like a cutter. Played first base when not on the mound, is light on his feet and moved well, made accurate throws. Left handed hitter, starts from a straight stance with an upper body rotational swing, contact oriented and will hit to all fields.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
