2024 High School All State Select Championship (2027-2028 Grads)
Hudson Salyers is a 2028 OF/RHP with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Weatherford, TX who attends Peaster. Compact athletic build with good strength, especially in his lower half. 6.94 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has a quick first step and gets to the ball well, transitions into his throws well, can get on top of his throws more consistently for more carry. Left handed hitter, that sits in a wider base and goes no stride with his lower using a simple/small gather into backside before shifting weight forward. Hands flashed some quality quickness where they threw the barrel on a more direct path that produced a marjority of GBs during his BP round but flattened it out a bit during gameplay where he collected a couple of hard hit line drives. Had a strong outing on the mound where he showed solid stuff. Some athleticism and intent to the operation. Some drop/drive traits down the mound where he lands hard with a strong block and with good direction. More compact arm action out the glove that gets up to a normal 3/4 slot. Worked fast and pounded the zone with his FB that worked in the low 80s, T83 that he got a lot of whiffs with showing some lower-release/carry traits. Mixed in an upper 60s slurvy breaker that is still developing and where he slows his arm down on it. Named to the High School All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
