Benton Tatum is a 2025 LHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Midlothian, VA who attends Midlothian. Long and lean pitcher's build with tons of physical projection remaining. Works from the stretch from the third base side of the rubber, very simple and direct mechanics, high leg raise start with a deep arm action in back coming to a 3/4's arm slot, stays on line out front and gets over his front side very well. Fastball topped out at 81 with good riding life up in the zone. Curveball showed some vertical depth. Arm is fast and loose and the raw stuff should take a first jump when he adds some strength and physical maturity. Very good student.
