Jackson Hill is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Playa Del Rey, CA who attends Venice. Tall lean frame. Works with moderate kick and very short take back to an extended high three-quarters release. Fastball is thrown with cutting action. Locates it to both sides. Shows conviction to the inner third. Pounding the zone with the true cutter. Had trouble finding the feel for the 12-6 breaking ball. Good depth but non-competitive in this brief look. Clean delivery with drop and drive style. Athleticism in there but an unorthodox stroke.Good physical projection. In the outfield, he works with choppy methodical steps and upright posture to the fielding point. Glove actions fit more of an infield mold. Gets on top of the throws with a quick from ear release. Right-handed hitter, medium base and high back elbow. Initial move is a forward shift with back tap trigger. Hands are sudden with solid bat speed present. Level plane through impact. Comes off the barrel with some jump. Approach is geared on a line through the middle. Excellent student.
