Kason Angel is a 2026 C/RHP/UT with a 5-11 173 lb. frame from Cameron, WV who attends Cameron. Medium frame with both strength and athleticism present. Primary catcher, starts in a bent-knee stance and gets out of the set with urgency. Displayed smooth midline transfers into a short arm stroke and quick release. Delivered accurate throws to the bag. Recorded arm strength up to 73 mph with a pop time of 1.98 sec. Secondary right-handed pitcher, utilizes an abbreviated wind-up delivery from the first base side of the rubber with a leg lift up to the chest. Breaks into a medium arm path and releases the baseball from a high three-quarters slot. Works downhill well with repeatable mechanics. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with spin up to 2080 rpm. Slider showed 11-5 shape with sharpness. Also mixed in a curveball and changeup. Demonstrated impressive command of his entire mix. Projects for an uptick in velocity as he continues to add strength to his frame. Switch-hitter. From the left-side, starts in a crouched, slightly open stance with flat & tight hands. Utilizes a hanging leg lift into a toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Has tons of hand speed. Produced consistent contact to the pull-side. From the right-side, starts in a similar stance. Utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing. Works into a hands-driven stroke with a developing feel for the barrel. Recorded an exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.14 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.
