Fielding
- INF - More of a relaxed approach to the ball with minimal urgency. Sets up into a wider base but glove is displayed out front and early with some softness to the hands at reception fielding everything clean. Shorter/stiff arm action that got off throws with limited strength across. Solid actions to build from. I would just work on a more athletic/quick initial approach to the baseball and maybe length out the arm action a bit to possibly aid in getting more on your throws.
- C - Developing catch/throw skill. Slower exchange that happens at the mid-chest and is more segmented away from footwork. Taller reception at times. Slower jump/shuffle out the crouch and gains some ground but with minimal quickness. Shorter/pushy arm action that got off 3/5 accurate throws with most being 1-hopped. Need to work on having the exchange higher so that it gets to a quicker release. Needs to work on quicker footwork as well that gets going sooner in the action. Ok to lengthen out the arm action here as well if it means stronger throws.
Hitting
- Stands in a wider base and uses a simple lower half move. Hands push back into a slight arm bar and into a lower launch. Longer hands-dominant swing that shows some disconnection at contact but does get the barrel head out front for some quality contact. Level finish through where the wrists really turnover.
- I would work on some better lower half engagement in the swing. Also I would get the hands into a more connected launch instead of pushing them back as far which might be a cause of some of the longer nature of the swing. I would maybe recommend cueing yourself to holding that palm up with the top hand longer with a higher finish to avoid that rollover of the hands.
