Ryan Grimes is a 2028 C/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends North Forsyth High School. Young and lean, young build. 7.27 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a side-saddled stance and moves out of the crouch with some urgency. Showed some feel for his footwork while gaining ground towards his target. Separated into a medium arm path prior to release. Delivered throws on a hop up to 69 mph with a pop-time of 2.13 sec. Right-handed batter, starts in an even, upright stance with an even hand set-up. Utilizes a toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a level bat path. Produced softer contact to all parts of the field during batting practice. Limited connection in the stroke with a developing feel for controlling the barrel. Power will improve with additional strength and mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. Excellent student.
