Deacon Remitz is a 2029 C/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Forest Lake, MN who attends Forest Lake. Stronger young build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Has two-way potential as a catcher and pitcher. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high back elbow load and a small leg raise timer, has a short and compact swing path with quick hands driving his swing, very accurate barrel, lived on the barrel with hard line drive contact to all fields. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a square stance with an early move into his throws, longer transfers away from his body, has very good arm strength with developing accuracy and consistency, will improve fundamentally with repetitions and time but has the tools. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a big side step start and high leg raise and hip turn, big stride down the mound. Fastball was mostly in the low 80's and topped out at 87 mph early. Curveball had some tightness and depth with 11/5 shape, also showed a split finger change up with some tumble. Good student. Named to the PG Minnesota Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
