Leonardo Montoya López is a 2028 SS/2B/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Lake View. Lean and wiry middle infielder's build with plenty of physical projection remaining. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, Moves well side to side and stays low fielding the ball, has some rhythm to his footwork and timing into release, threw the ball well on the move. Also worked out in the outfield with infield like actions fielding the ball, big crow hop into his throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with a low back elbow load, short and direct line drive swing with some extension out front, projects offensively as he gets stronger. Named to the PG High School All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
