Gant Leathers is a 2029 C with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Livermore. Features a smaller sized lean build with plenty of room to add. Ran a 8.74 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, operates from a taller squared set up. Avg. quickness out the crouch where he gains some ground but direction takes him into RHH's batter's box. Decent exchange/transfer that happens at the mid-chest. Shorter AA with some effort to an over the top slot where he showed avg. arm strength for his level with 50/50 accuracy. At the plate, worked from an even base and used a toe tap lower-half trigger. Hands worked the barrel on a longer level path through the zone with trouble releasing the barrel out front showing mostly late points of contact. Avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Late timing caused some inconsistencies with balls in play.
