Brayden Sprague is a 2028 2B/RHP/C with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Green Bay, WI who attends Bay Port. A lean and athletic frame with long levers throughout a taller & slender build. Plenty of room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primary infielder who worked out at the position with some snatch to the hands and a shorter three-quarters release working through it. Shorter and compact arm action with some range moving up the middle. Funnels through the middle of the body well. Threw 77 mph across the diamond during his round of infield reps. Also worked out as a catcher with a right knee-down setup with a step forward through it, working with a long release and developing feel for the transfer at the mid-line. He kept the throws accurate around the bag. Threw 67 mph with a pop time of 2.10. Developing actions behind the dish. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a slightly spread base, and weight on the backside. He has high-set hands with the back elbow up. He used a leg lift working into it, throwing the hands and barrel well, with a lengthy stroke and some looseness working into it. He impacts to all fields with a loose stroke and smooth swing. He was able to impact well and showed a developing feel for the barrel. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working from the first base side of the rubber, pitching from the stretch. He had a leg raise above the belt, landing in-line with the plate working down the mound. Long lower half with some drive downhill, and good throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot. He had the front foot offset and was able to show drop-and-drive mechanics working downhill. The fastball worked 76-80 mph with spin above 2,100 RPMs. The fastball had some tail to it. He showed a curveball around 70 mph with spin above 2,000 RPMs and a good feel for the pitch. Mixed both well and had some deception in the delivery. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
