2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (28-29 Grads)
Mark Kenton is a 2029 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Sturbridge, MA who attends Worcester Academy. Tall and angular young athletic build, very projectable physically. Left handed hitter, sets up in a narrow upright base with a simple stride into contact, sinks into his hips well and creates some young bat speed, still developing his timing but creates leverage and shows some power potential, best contact to the pull side. 7.58 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, gets rushed at times but moves well and has arm strength, turned well on his throws. Also worked out in both the infield and outfield, will need lots more repetitions and fundamentals at those positions but showed his arm strength well. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a high front side and a longer arm action in back, loose and whippy coming through at a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's with some running life. Also mixed in a mid-60's curveball that showed some 11/5 depth and a straight change up. Chance to develop on the mound as well as as a hitter. Good student.
