Miken Beal is a 2029 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-10, 120 lb. frame from Lincolnton, NC who attends North Lincoln High School. He has a lean, athletic build with room to add strength as he continues to mature physically. He is a 8.03 runner in the sixty. On the mound, he works from a simple, repeatable delivery with a loose and whippy 3/4 arm slot that projects well with continued development. He shows some natural run on the fastball, sitting in the low-70s with the ability to settle in and find the zone. The curveball has short 11/5 shape and good spin when on time, mixing speeds effectively and keeping hitters off balance. He shows good tempo and a competitive presence, working quickly between pitches and showing confidence on the mound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a wide, inline stance and a quick stride, showing the ability to make pull-side contact when timed up. In the outfield, he has a loose arm and the ability to work through the ball. A young player with plenty of physical growth and skill refinement ahead, showing tools on the mound that could continue to progress with repetition.
