Owen Drahos is a 2029 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-11 148 lb. frame from Blairstown, IA who attends Benton Community. Medium, high-waisted frame with plenty of room and time to add more strength. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder, works through the baseball at a deliberate pace and looks to field it out front. Tends to slow his momentum down during the transfer phase. Displayed some feel for his footwork along with a developing feel for adjusting the glove. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph on throws from the outfield. Secondary pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery from the first base side of the rubber. Side-steps into a belt-high leg lift before separating into a compact arm path. Hides the baseball well through the back and typically releases it from a 3/4 arm slot, but it can vary at times. Has a bit of power yet to be unlocked in his lower-half. Fastball worked all four quadrants of the strike zone, topping out at 79 mph. Mixed in a tight two-plane slider with spin nearing 2300 rpm as well as a more vertical curveball. Projects well as an arm with additional strength. Right-handed batter, starts in an even stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a quick leg lift trigger for timing before working into a slightly downhill bat path. Displayed rotational swing mechanics with a developing feel for controlling the barrel throughout the strike zone. Produced softer groundball contact to the pull-side during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength and mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 70 mph. Named to the 14U Midwest All-State Games Top Prospect List.
