Maximiliano Luna is a 2028 RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Lawndale, CA who attends Wiseburn - Da Vinci. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from an abbreviated wind up with a coiled leg lift over the rubber, loose 3/4's arm action with some extension down the mound. Threw both four and two-seam fastballs and topped out at 80 mph, threw his fastball for strikes and challenged hitters, velocity projects well as he continues to get stronger. Slider showed some sweeping shape and promising spin, had some feel for adding and subtracting with it. Also flashed a change up and mixed his pitches well. 8.18 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, fields the ball cleanly out front, extra steps into his release, has some arm strength and carry on his throws with some effort into release. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow stance with a high and tight hand load and toe tap timer, has some strength potential at contact but still developing his timing and barrel control. Excellent student.
