Raymond Martinez is a 2027 SS/3B with a 5-10 196 lb. frame from Hazleton, PA who attends Hazleton Area. Martinez works from a broad build with evident strength throughout. Exclusively from his primary IF spot, he showcased clean funnels with good footwork and coordination for size. He repeated a lower release across the diamond, ultimately topping out at 63 mph. Expect arm strength to improve as the arm action refines and momentum is carried through release. Offensively, the right handed hitter started from a balanced slightly open base with a compact hand set and high back elbow. He utilized a simple stride into impact with good weight shift and intent to work gap to gap. Can shorten up the stoke a bit and focus on barrel control for the future. Posted an exit velo of 78 mph. Ran a 7.93 sixty yard dash.
