Preston Dwyer is a 2028 RHP/2B/3B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Pine Island, NY who attends Warwick Valley. Taller athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Works from an abbreviated wind up with a loose and easy arm action and a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the low 80's and topped out at 83 mph with plenty more there once he gets stronger, gets nice arm side running life. Slider was a good pitch for him with good feel for landing the pitch glove side, has some tightness and bite with full arm speed. Gets heavy side spin on his change up. Very projectable young arm. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, comes through the ball well and has a loose and whippy arm from a low 3/4's arm slot, ball carries well. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow stance with a deep late hand load and a hanging front leg trigger, some drift to his front side, upper body rotational swing. Excellent student.
