Akshay Lath is a 2026 RHP/2B with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Pittsburgh, PA who attends Fox Chapel Area. Lean, high-waisted build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a quick leg lift up to the belt. Remains balanced over the middle part of the rubber. Has limited arm speed and quickness in the lower-half. Worked heavily off his fastball and kept it around the plate. Will continue to add velocity as he physically matures and adds strength. Secondary second baseman, worked through the baseball at a deliberate pace and showed the glove a bit late. Displayed developing footwork and body control in the infield. Lacks arm strength and the ability to backhand the baseball. Made accurate throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts in a very narrow, upright stance with a low back elbow and low hand set-up. Utilizes a small stride for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Displayed rotational swing mechanics with limited lower-half usage in the operation. Tends to guide the barrel and drift forwards upon impact. Posted an exit velocity of 64 mph. Ran an 8.50 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.
