Kaenon Oyasato is a 2030 C/RHP/3B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends Iolani. Lean athletic frame. Ran a 8.12 60-yard dash. On the mound, worked from the 3B side of the rubber with a side-step delivery into a knee-to-chest lift. Lower 3/4 slot with average extension and finish. Arm action is shorter and works with a more direct look to the plate with some sink. Fastball was 67-73 mph T73 and stayed around the plate. Mixed a 57 mph breaking ball. Worked in the infield with under-control actions and the ability to stay low through the ball. Hands are firm and plays can get more fluid as reps stack, showed 67 mph across the infield. Behind the plate, side-saddle look with a shorter arm action and an accurate release, posted a 2.26 pop time with 67 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a narrow upright stance and flatter hands, hanging leg lift and a longer path through the zone, produced subtle line drives to all fields.
