Evan Boatwright is a 2030 3B/RHP/IF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Belmont, NC who attends South Point. Medium frame with a solid build for age. Ran a 8.63 60-yard dash. On the mound, worked from a full windup on the 1B side with a lower belt lift. Medium arm swing to a 3/4 slot and works direct to the plate. Fastball was 63-66 mph T66. Mixed a bigger curveball at 58 with depth and a 60 mph changeup. The pitch mix is in place and arm strength will continue to increase with physical maturation. Worked on the infield with a deliberate gather and accurate throws. Arm was 64 mph across the infield. Also took first base reps and showed accurate feeds with 67 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and a rotational swing. Showed some lift through contact and found the barrel at times with pull-side contact. Excellent student.
