Anthony Oster is a 2028 RHP/3B with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Saint John, IN who attends Mount Carmel. Shorter compact build. Works exclusively from the stretch with good lower half drive to the plate, longer high 3/4's arm action. Fastball was consistently in the mid-70's and topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side life. Threw a mid-60's curveball with some 12/6 shape and depth as his breaking ball; also mixed in an occasional firm change up. 7.63 runner in the sixty. Plays third base when not on the mound, takes good routes to the ball and fields it cleanly, has some flexibility in his arm. Right handed hitter, starts from a spread stance with tight hands and a big coil into his swing, can get mistimed and long coming out of his coil, flashes some jump to the middle of the field. Good student.
