Ayden Newell is a 2028 OF with a 5-6, 120 lb. frame from Bracey, VA, who attends Park View. He has a smaller, young build with room to add significant strength and size as he develops. Shows some natural twitch and athletic movements that will benefit from physical maturity. He is a 7.72 runner in the sixty. In the outfield, he fields the ball cleanly out front and works under control. Uses a low 3/4 release and keeps throws accurate with some arm-side run. Shows an infield-style approach and stays square to the ball. Footwork is steady, and his release is efficient, with accuracy being a current strength. In the infield, he funnels the ball cleanly to the chest and works with mostly accurate throws from a 3/4 slot. Shows some range to both sides and solid footwork, with actions that should smooth out as he gains strength. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts from an inline stance with a slight bat wrap and a flat bat path. Does his best work to the middle of the field and shows contact ability when on time. Hands work to the ball, and with added strength, bat speed and impact should both increase. A young, developing athlete who shows the foundation of sound actions in the field and at the plate. With continued physical growth, his skills and tools should take a step forward. Great student with a 3.7 GPA.
