Chris Harvey is a 2012 C/3B, 1B with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Norristown, PA who attends Germantown Academy. Tall slender Joe Mauer type build, very good strength. Flexible actions on defense, stays compact and quick despite size, soft hands, receives and throws under control, game type pops in drills, 1.90 best, on line accurate throws, moves easily and balanced in all actions. Slightly crouched stance at the plate, high hands, glides into contact, keeps hands tight, soft top hand coming through, off speed hitter who mashes curveballs and change ups, drives the ball hard. Good student, verbal commitment to Vanderbilt. Named to the Perfect Game All American Classic team.
