Johnnie Neckar is a 2006 outfielder and right handed pitcher with a 6' 155 pound frame from Cape Coral, Florida who attends North Ft Myers High School. He has a lean body and is very athletic. Johnnie is a right handed hitter who is aggressive and is a line drive type hitter. He keeps his weight back very well and stays on the ball a long time. He hits through the ball very well and gets excellent extension. He has a good sound swing with good bat speed. Neckar has very good actions in the outfield. He moves well to the ball and covers a lot of ground. His strength in the field is his strong arm. His throws have good carry to them and he threw 85 mph during the workout. On the mound, Johnnie has a nice loose arm and sound mechanics. He pitches to both sides of the plate with all three pitches. His fastball has some late sinking action at 78-79 mph while his slider breaks late and hard at 71 mph. His best pitch is his 74 mph change up that has good sink and is very deceiving. Johnnie is a D1 type college player who will help out any program. He is also a very good student with a 3.46 gpa, 970 on his SAT, 21 on his ACT.
