Justin Worby is a 6'0", 190 lb. switch hitting catcher from Canada with very good present strength and skills. Right handed, Worby shows above average bat speed and the ball really jumps on contact. His swing is a bit stiffer and slower left handed, but he shows some bat head skills and has a good idea of the strike zone from both sides. It’s tempting to say that Worby should take advantage of his superior bat speed right handed all the time, but that’s on a relatively short look and hitting left can be very valuable at the pro or college level. Defensively, Worby has very good arm strength and an especially quick accurate arm. He consistently put balls right on the bag during game action and threw some runners out easily. Worby is a hard worker behind the plate and has a strong lower half for durability. He is cat like quick at times. Justin is a good solid catching prospect at the Division I level and should create some draft interest..
