Matthew Rogers is a 2011 SS/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Summit Christian HS. Lean athletic build player with good athletic tools in IF and OF. Quick feet, shows athleticism on the infield, covers ground. Quick release throws with accuracy. Moves well in the outfield, solid arm strength. Shows good feel for both defensive positions. Right-handed hitter, quick hands, quick bat at the plate, line drive swing plane with contact to all fields. Good bat control, squares ball up. Quick and aggressive on the bases. Excellent student.
