Zachary Risedorf is a 2014 C/OF, RHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Barkhamsted, CT who attends Northwestern Regional. Medium, highly athletic, wiry frame. Ran a 7.04 60 yard dash. Has a very quick release from behind the plate, knows how to keep his arm action short and flashes superb arm strength. Has big carry on his throws. Also plays the outfield, where his arm strength also stands out. Moves well and has good range. Hits from a slightly open, crouched stance and carries his hands high. Shows off high level bat speed and has power potential in his swing. Lifts the ball well to the middle of the field and to his pull side. Has outstanding balance at the plate, squares up the ball and sprays line drives all over the field. High level offensive talent. Also took the mound, reached 85 mph with his fastball from a high three-quarter arm slot. Flashes a sharp late breaking 10-4 curveball at 71 mph, as well as a fading change. Intriguing two way talent. Good student.
