Ammerman has a medium build, room to fill out, high 3/4 arm slot, short arm action, good down plane on fastball, stays balanced and online, good use of lower half to create leverage on fastball, overall sound mechanics and knows how to pitch, solid mix of a 1/7 spinning curveball with good break and a straight change, shows ability to cut fastball, hit from a slightly open stance, mid field to opposite field approach, good student.
