2005 World Showcase
Nick Criaris is a 2005 catcher/first baseman from Jersey City, New Jersey with a strong 6'2", 225 lb. frame. Criaris was one of the most pleasant surprises of the World Showcase. He started off throwing the third best pop time (1.91), and throwing 80 mph from behind the plate with accuracy during the workout. Criaris then took one of the best BPs at the event. He showed very good bat speed with good leverage from a slightly open stance. Criaris has strength in his swing and everything was hit hard with easy power. He didn't disappoint during the games either. He showed quick feet and the ability to block balls in the dirt. He also had a 3-3 game with some very hard hit balls. Criaris was one of the best unsigned players in the event. He has a very bright future.
