Tyler Pike is a 2012 LHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Winter Haven, FL who attends Winter Haven HS. Medium build, good lower half strength, bigger than list. Full hands over head delivery, quick arm coming through, high 3/4's release point with very good leverage. Steady 89-91 mph fastball, mostly straight but throws to spots with intent, will come inside. Curveball lacks ideal velocity but has tight spin and some sharpness, big downer shape, poor swings against CB, some developing feel for change up. Maintained stuff, more 91's than 89's, has an advanced idea how to pitch and had an edge to him on the mound.
