2003 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Dixon played in Chapel Hill with a sore hamstring that obviously affected his aggressiveness and skills. We’d seen him the week before at the East Coast Professional Baseball Showcase in Wilmington and he was a different player healthy. One thing that the switch hitting Dixon showed us in Chapel Hill that we hadn’t seen in Wilmington was some good pop from the right side of the plate. Dixon will get around the ball from that side but when he stayed back and behind the ball he put a jolt into a few. He already had shown us good left handed skills and bat speed the week before. There's no question, he's a good prospect.
