Derek Deler is a 2013 MIF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Boone HS. Smaller athletic build. Very smooth and easy infield actions, balanced and works through the ball well, soft hands, gets to the right bounce, quick release, good arm strength with carry, plus instincts and skills in the infield, 7.21 runner. Right handed hitter, deep load, swings hard, line drive swing plane and stays on ball a long time, opens front side early looking to pull, squares the ball up. Defense plays up. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida International.
