Joshua Mendez is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends Mater Academy. Medium athletic build, room to fill. Three quarter arm slot, online delivery, smooth delivery. Good balance, long loose arm action, fastball features tailing action. Finesse lefty with good pitchability, pounds the zone, deceptive delivery. Has shown development over the past year, velocity is similar but now pitches with less effort and better command. Good student.
