Jonah Wesely is a 2013 LHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Tracy, CA who attends Tracy HS. Strong well developed build, mature physically. Fast paced delivery, on line mechanics, quick compact arm action, high 3/4's release, hides ball very well, works quickly and pounds the strike zone. Fastball to 92 mph, good fastball plane, cuts fastball with intent, ball gets on hitter quickly with deception. Curveball is a plus pitch, hard with sharp biting action and depth, swing/miss pitch, has good feel for spotting curveball, has slider appearance at times. Change up still developing, tends to slow arm and drop release point. Aggressive pitcher with two potential plus pitches and the ability to use them. Good student, verbal commitment to UCLA.
