Ryan Young is a 2014 C/RHP with a 5-11 162 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic HS. Young has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he has some arm strength with a quick release. He has some catch and throw tools with developing catch and throw actions. At the plate, Young is a switch hitter who has better hitting tools presently from the right side. From the right side he starts with a slightly open stance with a compact swing. He made consistent solid contact from with some pop. From the left side, he has developing bat speed and swings on a line drive path. Young pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short quick arm action. He works exclusively from the stretch and has a balanced delivery. He throws an 11/5 curveball with developing spin and shape to it. There's more velocity in there with some lower half adjustments. Solid two-way guy. Excellent student, named to Top Prospect Team.
