Benji Waite in is a 2005 right handed pitcher/first baseman from Madison Alabama with a very good strong body at 6 ft. 3 220 pounds. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a nice and easy controlled delivery, and a smooth arm action. His fastball showed good tail topping out at 88 mph. His breaking pitch is a 10-4 slurve that has a very sharp action at times and ranges between a 73-76 mph. His slurve is a very effective out pitch when he repeats his mechanics well. He did not show a change. He hits from a wide open stance with a leg lift trigger that tends to be late. He has good balance during the swing and makes solid contact with a good stroke. He has a very projectable athletic body and will be a very good college pitcher with possible pro future.
