Samuel Linn is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-9 170 lb. frame from Fletcher, NC who attends Hendersonville HS. Extra tall, extra slender build, minimal present strength. Still growing into coordination but repeats delivery pretty well, lots of elbows and knees moving about, over the top slot and maintains his height and angle well, arm works well and is loose out front. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, obvious velocity projection with more strength. Slider is best pitch, true slider with tilt and occasional big lateral action, will add and subtract from slider and has feel for it, rare change up. Should be a fun young pitcher to follow for future improvement, has gained 4-5 mph each of the last two years. Good student, verbal commitment to College of Charleston.
