Alexander Melendez is a 2013 OF/ with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from cidra, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Athletic, strong build, thick lower half, should continue to get stronger. Ran a 6.69 60 yard. Strong outfield arm, good footwork, outfield actions are there, sound arm action, should be more arm strength there with improved mechanics. Right-handed hitter, open stance, looks the part at the plate, big power potential, puts on a show in batting practice. Short to the baseball, likes to pull the ball, very aggressive hitter, good bat speed, strong hands, hits the ball hard. High upside hitter. Excellent student.
