Payton Tapia is a 2014 C/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Fort Collins, CO who attends Fossil Ridge HS. Big strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, swings hard, good raw bat speed, ball comes off hard, good hand use, solid mid field contact, shows lift at times, aggressive approach but reward is when ball is squared up. Strong hands receiving, frames and blocks well, arm strength fringy at present, good exchange, 2.00 best pop time. Good student.
