Ty Harris is a 2015 LHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Bryant, AR who attends IMG Academy. Very young slender build, minimal present strength but lots of room to fill out. Long 3/4's to high 3/4's arm action, quick arm coming through, stays balanced well and repeats his mechanics on all pitches. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, plenty more velocity in there with additional strength, mostly straight at present. Curveball shows hard spin with a sharp late bite times, good depth. Tends to drop release point on slider, slider actions as much as a change up at present. Strike thrower who has an idea how to pitch. Good student. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
