Alex Vasquez is a 2016 C with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Southridge HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with more to come. 6.88 runner, is flexible and quick behind the plate, shows his athleticism, good arm with a long arm action, makes accurate throws, 1.91 best pop time, has the athletic tools to keep improving defensively. Right handed hitter, high leg lift trigger, gets it down in time, loads his back side well and explodes to contact, loose swing with solid contact out front, has good timing and some flow and balance to his swing, gap to gap hitter who is strong enough to drive the ball the opposite way. Good athlete who has not been exposed much but has lots of physical tools to develop.
