Alberto J Schmidt is a 2016 C with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, PR who attends Colegio Angel David. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Shows very good athleticism behind the plate, gets low and is flexible and active, quick exchange and release, very good arm strength and makes accurate throws, 1.82 best pop time, has the defensive tools and skills. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with high deep hands, stays balanced and directional well, quick hands help make up for deep load, showed ability in games to drive different pitch locations hard, picked up a couple of hard hit doubles that came off the barrel hard. Solid all around player on both sides of the ball. Good student.
