Austin Greene is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Ridgefield, WA who attends Skyview. Tall, strong athletic build, muscular lower half , looks the part. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a short arm action. Aggressive with the fastball with good sink and tail to the arm side. Good use of lower half, sound mechanics, quality fastball, short tight break on slider. Swung the bat well in games, radar gun picked up a 93 mph exit velocity off his bat. Good bat speed, big raw power, plus strength at contact, long rotational swing, aggressive hitter, pull approach. Good footwork around 1B bag, hands work well, big target for infielders. Good student.
