Andrew Fernandez is a 2017 C/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Cooper City, FL who attends Archbishop Edward McCarthy HS. Big and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a leg lift trigger, long and strong swing, hits the ball out front and shows good barrel control, has strength at contact and uses his lower half well to generate raw bat speed, hits through the ball well, challenge will be staying short enough to contact to use his strength. Young catching skills and footwork, has been a primary first baseman, tends to stand straight up to throw, long and loose arm action, makes accurate throws, 2.00 best pop time.
